How to check your desktop or laptop properties

          The following are steps to take on your PC (personal computer) to know the properties or features. A laptop or desktop have several properties that it possesses, these properties determine the function, storage, easy use, windows e.t.c of the computer. When getting a new laptop or desktop there is also a need to know these features to find out if it met the required specification you needed or to know if the specification can carry out the operations you needed the PC for. The following are steps you can take to check for the properties.

STEP 1: "Turn on your computer". Obviously to carry any operations on your laptop you have to turn it on by pressing the power button on your laptop or connecting your desktop and press your CPU and monitor power button.

STEP 2: After the laptop is on, click on your computer by clicking the icon below to give you list of media's in your PC.


STEP 3: Then locate "This PC" or "My computer" depending on the PC you are using.


STEP 4: Right click on "This PC" and move your cursor or mouse to the properties icon and the left click to show you the properties


         The computer properties is going to pop-up. As shown below.


       You can now have access to all the properties associated with your PC e.g the RAM, ROM, system type, processor, installed windows e.t.c.
