How to create your own blog and monetize it

     Blogging is a means of reaching out to lots of people around the globe. Creating your own blogspot account is a very easy step. You can create your own blogspot site without the knowledge of programming or coding. With your blogspot account you can create content useful for everyone, post news, advertise your business e.t.c. I will like to introduce you to how to create your blog using blogger and monetize it. But before you think of having your own blog, you should have in mind what your blog is all about and what kind of audience you are trying to Target. creating your own blog might be based on

  • Creating awareness to people

1. Steps in creating your own blog, uploading post and editing of your blog 

  • First of all, login to blogger Here then click on "create your own blog" then you can now input the Gmail you wish to connect with your blogspot account, then proceed to input the name and address (URL) of your blog and boom you blogspot account is ready for use.
Note: your blog address (blog URL) will look like "your address.blogspot.com" because it was created under blogger. (So you have to upload post that is in line with blogspot policy)
      If you wish to have your own URL address apart from that of blogger you will have to purchase your own domain, you can get your own domain for as low as $5-$20.

  • Then you can now start creating post and publish them since your blog is ready to reach out to people. To create post you can just click on the plus (+) icon on your blogspot account when u login from blogger. You will be exposed to large features such as typing of your text, uploading of images, uploading of videos, uploading of different links relating to your post and other features to make your post look spectacular. (Use updated browser for better experience). 
  • After creating post then you can click on publish on the top right corner to publish your post for the public at large. You can edit your post in case you want to make any changes to your content, you can as well delete your post if you no longer need such post on your blog.
  • You can as well control the settings and layout of your blog by clicking on the three dot icon on the top left corner. Using the layout you can edit the colour, design and look of your blog. And with the settings you decide what happens with your blog.


 2. Monetize your blog

     Another interesting part is that you can monetize your blog using Google adsense. (Google adsense allows your site to pop up on Google whenever someone browse anything related to your post and you will get paid for that depending on the number of clicks). But Google adsense have a very strict policy. It's takes time and hardwork for you to be accepted by adsense. They review you post structure, grammar, relevance, number of words, number of post, years of blogging, traffic on your site e.t.c before you are accepted.
